Navigation Information
The MapSport USGS index viewer uses state of the art software called EyeSpy from axsTech.com which allows very large
(40mb-60mb) TIF files to be viewed across an internet connection at an acceptable (amazingly fast) speed. The TIF files are
rendered to a proprietary format then are cataloged and accessed using the EyeSpy software.
Navigation is straight forward, use the arrows to move around the map, click on the map to center and zoom in, or use the + and -
keys to adjust the zoom. If you wish to print, click on the yellow print icon. You can use the select viewer prompt to
select the launchpad view which is quite useful for quickly navigating around the map. Currently the Points of Interest
nor the Animation do not have any additional functionaliy. Maximize your EyeSpy window to get the largest area displayed.
Print your area of interest, then use the printed index to type in map names in the search box to find the map you are are
interested in.
